Autumn Spice Melt & Pour Soap Recipe - So easy!Nothing says “Autumn” like the scents of clove, cinnamon and nutmeg. This easy melt and pour soap is perfect for the Halloween and Thanksgivings seasons. It’s a perfect soap for home AND to give as a party favor!

Autumn Spice Melt and Pour Soap Recipe

Yield: Six 2-oz. bars of soap

Supplies:

12 ounces white opaque melt and pour soap

3 drops each of red and yellow soap colorant

2 droppers of Cinnamon Leaf essential oil

2 droppers of Clove Leaf essential oil

½ tsp. nutmeg, grated

1 tsp. oatmeal, pulverized (optional)

Soap mold of your choice

  1. Melt white melt and pour soap in a glass container in the microwave. Heat in 5 to 10-second sessions until the soap is just melted. You may also melt the soap in a double boiler until the soap is just melted.

  1. Stir in colorant, essential oils, nutmeg and oatmeal until all ingredients are mixed well into the melted soap.
  1. Pour melted soap into soap mold and let completely set, then release the soap from the mold. If you only have one soap mold, repeat Steps 1 and 3 until all soaps are made.

That’s it! To give the soap as a party favor, you may package in small cellophane bags and tie with raffia and silk autumn leaves—or use your imagination for other ways to package!
