What to do when your friend gives you perfectly ripe figs from her tree? Make jam! This recipe is so easy to make and provides the perfect consistency to use with appetizers. Try a slice of brie or goat cheese on a cracker with a dollop of jam on top and a piece of walnut on top of the jam.
- Chop figs and orange into 1/2-inch pieces.
- Combine all ingredients. Cook in a heavy saucepan on stove for 60-70 minutes, until mixtures thickens.
- Take off stove and let cool. Spoon jam into jars and cap. Keep jam in the refrigerator--will keep for one month.
